Following the selection of the AirGradient ONE for the P-Block project, we recently hosted Achim Haug, Founder and CEO of AirGradient, for a guest presentation on open-source hardware and community air monitoring.
Achim shared AirGradient’s journey – from building DIY monitors in recycled plastic containers during Northern Thailand’s severe burning season to selling >16,000 monitors, more than 85,000 downloads of open-source designs and 7000+ community members, globally.
He detailed how transparent hardware design, no subscription models, empowered global partnerships.
As work continues toward deploying P-Block’s monitoring network later this year, Achim’s visit offered fantastic insights into the open hardware that will help power our building’s live IAQ network.
