The Clean Indoor Air Forum at Parliament House in Canberra on Monday 18 March emphasised the importance of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and the need for the development of new, innovative systems, to ensure adequate ventilation. It highlighted the collaborative efforts among various stakeholders, including Thrive IAQ, universities like QUT (Queensland University of Technology), professional bodies, and individuals, to address IAQ challenges. The forum also recognised the scientific leadership of D/Prof. Lidia Morawska in fostering dynamic IAQ interactions across Australia, and globally.
Organised by the Burnet Institute, this Forum brought together more than 50 leading stakeholders from the clean indoor air community, including many researchers and industry partners from Thrive, as well as key leaders from science, engineering, architecture, medicine, and politics. Sharing progress on clean indoor air innovations, stakeholders identified synergies while exploring how to support knowledge exchange, and how to advocate for clean indoor air quality policy change. The Clean Indoor Air Forum was followed by a Parliament House event organised by the Australian Academy of Science, the Burnet Institute, and CSIRO.
