Last Thursday, 26 March, D/Prof Lidia Morawska visited the Burnet Institute and spoke about the strong scientific evidence on the health impacts of poor indoor air. Her presentation spoke to IAQ being largely unmeasured and unmanaged in many public spaces such as schools, workplaces and public buildings.

The COVID-19 pandemic and increasingly frequent bushfire smoke events have made visible just how vulnerable our indoor environments can be. Despite this Australia and many countries still lack the standards, monitoring, and regulation needed to protect people’s health in the buildings where they learn, work and socialise.
