At THRIVE, our unwavering vision is to champion the progress of knowledge and technological infrastructure development, in the pursuit of creating cleaner, healthier indoor spaces that boost mental clarity and enhance productivity. We’re committed to forging dynamic partnerships between the scientific community, government bodies, industry leaders, and the public, to make this vision a reality.

Recently, we had the privilege of hosting a Science Symposium and a Future Building Forum at the University of Melbourne. These events brought together brilliant minds to explore vital questions, to help shape the future of indoor air quality and building systems:

The Science Symposium highlights included deliberations about how we can enhance the measurement and communication of indoor air pollution and the risk of airborne pathogen transmission, and how we can transform knowledge and innovation into tangible improvements for building systems.

The Future Building Forum discussions provided insights in answer to the following three big questions:
1.    Could displacement ventilation become the blueprint for future building design?
2.    Is hybrid ventilation a viable solution for future buildings?
3.    Are new technologies essential to achieve optimal building design?

These discussions sparked innovative ideas and diverse perspectives, linking academia, government, and industry together, to address the monumental challenges noted above.

However, our journey doesn’t end here. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve already started consolidating the insights from these events, using them as a foundation for future scientific papers and recommendations to guide government policies. This collaborative work will continue, and we’re immensely grateful to our Symposium Participants and Forum Panellists for their invaluable contributions.

A special vote of thanks goes to our distinguished Forum Panellists, including the Honourable Ted Baillieu AO (Former Premier of Victoria) and Professor Rob Adams AM (City Architect, Melbourne), for their unwavering support of THRIVE’s mission to positively impact the lives of millions. Together, we are paving the way for a future where indoor environments promote well-being, productivity, and human potential.

Join us on this exciting journey to shape the future of indoor spatial environments. Together, we can THRIVE!
